Old Business
North Central Update
We have new vision and belief statements in addition to the mission statement.  We have completed the second standard of governance and are working on the third which is teaching and learning.
Administrative Reports
Pastor Report:  The parish will re-evaluate so that we may make better use of all talents to proclaim the gospel message.  Town Hall meetings for the GIFT program are scheduled for November 20th.  Our cluster group is Pontiac, Odell, Cullom, Flanagan, Campus, and Dwight.  The first cluster meeting is scheduled for December 6th.  Mass changes seem to be going well.
Coordinator of Religious Education – Youth:  Karen Peissig will no longer be chairing Vacation Bible School.  We will start looking for a new chairperson.
Coordinator of Religious Education – Teen:  Father David reported that things are going well and the date for the next Gonzaga retreat has been set.
Principal:  Mr. Morehouse reported that we had a code red drill and Officer Gilliam was happy with our response.  Parent-Teacher Conferences went well.  Teachers filled out a survey stating if they wanted to see changes with dates/times, etc. in the future.  Our K-5 teachers will meet with a math consultant from Pearson during our next in-service day so that we may better utilize our math series.  6-8 teachers will meet with Cheryl Corrigan from District 429 to discuss social behaviors during the in-service.  The ITBS test results were handed out and discussed.
St. Mary’s Teacher-Parent Organization:  TPO has met once this year.  There was much discussion about how to get parents involved in all aspects of the school.  TPO will meet again in December.

The next commission meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 17, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
The meeting concluded with prayer and was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
