KINDERGARTEN NEWS FOR SEPTEMBER 15

Here are a few notes for this week at school. We seem to be settling into the full-day routine pretty well. We do rest each day from 12:30-1:00. Last year when I was visiting other full-day Kindergarten classes to get ideas for this year, everyone I talked with does rest. It may be modified as the year goes on, but I think it is very helpful now. I am thinking about bringing in a recliner for me!

We have been having a small snack as needed. Two animal crackers can make a world of difference. Could you send a box of snacks to put on a shelf to use as needed? Any kind of crackers or cookies would be fine. Thanks.

If your daughter is wearing a jumper to school, could she wear a pair of shorts under it? It is hard for the girls to always sit properly and keep those jumpers pulled down.

On Wednesday afternoon we will be visited by one of the Duffy ambulances. It will come over to the playground and we will go out and learn about the equipment and services it can provide. Thanks to Brenda Matuszewski for arranging this for us. She is Ricky’s Mom.

We are starting to check the children on counting to 100. Please practice with your child unless they already know how to do it. Our prayers and pledge get better everyday. Thanks for helping with these things. Have a great week!
