Kindergarten with Mrs. Mackinson
Kindergarten News for May 16
Here are a few reminders for the last week of school! We will be working very hard this week preparing for Graduation. Kindergarten Graduation will take place at the 8:30 School Mass on Thursday, May 19. Your child is to come at the usual time dressed in nice clothes. They will not bring folders or backpacks that day. After Mass we will have cookies and punch in the Parish Hall and then they are done for the day. Thank you to the First Grade parents for doing the reception for us. The front half of the Church will be full of SMS students and we need to have you sit behind the break. Father will hand out their diplomas after Communion and you may take as many pictures as you want. I will line up all the students in the Parish Hall after Mass and we will do all the group pictures then. Any questions, please ask.
We will be sending home everything in the next three days. We will be doing a couple “Step Up” Math activities this week and will send all the remainder home for you to do over the Summer. We have done many activities in our journals but there are still empty pages. Please, encourage your child to write and read as much as possible.
Thank you for coming out to the farm. We had a great time and I hope all of you did too.
Even though they “graduate” on Thursday; they are to come back on Friday for the last school Mass and Report Cards. School will dismiss about 9:30.
I truly find it hard to believe another year has come and gone. These children have learned so much this year. I hope they continue to learn over the summer and into First Grade. Thank you for becoming part of my family. Each child I have taught does that you know. See you on Thursday at Graduation!
