St. Mary’s math team, made up of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who sign up to be part of the team, have been practicing after school for the last couple weeks. We thought we were going to participate in the Livingston County Math Contest in February; however, it has been canceled because enough county teams were not interested in participating. So we are going to halt practice during Catholic Schools Week and during the Kevin Casson Tournament and resume after these two events. At this time we do not have any contests on our schedule, but this is not unusual. Most math contests are in March and April. I will let the students know when we have a scheduled meet. In the meantime, we will practice to be ready.
