Kindergarten News for January 30, 2012
Welcome to Catholic Schools Week! Here are a few additions to what you have already read for this week.
We will be accepting items for the baby shower all week. All of these things are given to the Crisis Pregnancy Center here in Pontiac. Thanks for your generosity.
Tuesday will be a “casual clothes” day. The faculty and staff will be treated to an extended lunch that day. Thanks to Mrs. Finnegan (Sean’s Mom) who will be supervising the students from 12:20-12:50.
The Kindergarten class wrote thank you notes to the Pontiac Firefighters last week as part of Community day. I hope they are enjoying looking at them.
Friday will be another “casual clothes” day. Please make sure your child wears long sleeves or has a sweatshirt or sweater to put on each day since our room is always much cooler. We will be going to Mass on Friday at 10:00 instead of the usual 9:30 and will be welcoming the students from St. Paul’s to worship with us. We will be having our annual Hot Dog Lunch and Bingo party that day. The lunch will be provided by the TPO. It will consist of hot dogs, chips, veggies, dip, and ice cream for dessert. Each child will need to bring his/her own drink OR milk will be available. If they bring a drink from home, make sure their name is on it. We mix up the whole school so each K. student will be at a different table. The older students do a great job of watching out for the younger ones and there will be an adult at each table. Please ask if you have any questions.
Tomorrow will be the 100th day of school! We will be doing some activities with that on Tuesday.
Our water day was a great success last Thursday. We thank Mrs. Ruff and our three PTHS students who came in. The slushies from the Lauritsens were amazing!
Thank you for sending your child to our school. The theme this year of “ Faith, Academics, and Service” is emphasized in every grade of this school. Have a great week!
