Dear 7th grade parents:
Thanks for your great attendance at conferences and for your support. Our working together is the best way to help the students to grow in maturity and academics. Also, thanks for the food for our basket which was donated to a family.
Our field trip to Springfield and New Salem will be Tuesday, May 8, 2012, from 7:00 a.m. Mass until about 8:00 – 8:30 p.m. If you want to go with us, please write me a note saying so. I have already heard from some of you. Thanks.
The 7th Grade Cultural Fair will be held in the parish hall on Friday, December 2, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Students will need their presentation boards (which are due for Social Studies on Tuesday, November 29) and whatever else they are going to show or wear for their country. This project involves grades in social studies, computer, and English.
Remember, each student needs a flashlight for the Christmas program. Please send these to school with your name on them.
The 7th grade will carol to shut-ins on Friday, December 16, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Please send the names of elderly relatives and neighbors who don't get out much who would enjoy being serenaded. We still need drivers, too. We do have three drivers (Stark, Carranza, Wille), so two more would be perfect!
Do you have any more ideas for our raffle at the 5th and 6th grade boy's basketball tournament? Please let me know. Joan Duffy is making a sports blanket and I will donate a fun basket. Does anyone have access to any sports tickets that we could raffle – Cubs, White Sox, Illinois, arena football, hockey?
FYI – Progress Reports – Go to Option C. Then to the Classes Dashboard and to the Gradebook. Then go to the subject. The comment is on the top line and refers to the subject, not the assignment it is on the line with. Every student does not have a comment for every subject.
