January 27, 2012

Dear 3rd Grade Families,

This week we began studying physical science with a discussion of properties of matter.  The students seemed to enjoy the two hands-on activities that have accompanied our discussion, including an exploration of buoyancy.  Thank you for any assistance you may have given your child in selecting those ten small items to bring to school!

In math, the class continues to practice fractions.  We will remain on this topic for about one more week, after which we will begin some geometry by working with two-dimensional shapes.

Please refer to this week’s school bulletin for important information about Catholic Schools Week, including this weekend’s Masses if your child has signed up to play a role.  I look forward to seeing you at Sunday’s Open House!

Have a safe and blessed weekend!

Sincerely,

Mr. Plotz
