STUDENT COUNCIL NEWS On Thursday, Oct. 30, the student council conducted a mock presidential election in conjunction with Illinois Student Vote. This offers teachers and students the opportunity to participate in the electoral process. Our "polling place" was set up in the foyer of the new addition and all grades participated in the election. The results were: John McCain – 116 votes and Barack Obama – 104 votes. As you can see, it was a very close election. A special thank you to the student council members who served as "election judges" and to Kristy Masching, Livingston County Clerk, for letting us use some voting booths and providing us with "I Voted" stickers. Also, Wednesday, Nov. 19, student council is sponsoring "Mix and Match Day". It is your opportunity to wear clothes that do not match. More "crazy days" will be coming up in the future.
